.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME domain extension is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are popular by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to reserve john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased third-level domain names remained active.

Through our firm, you can get your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer key from the present registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no specific stipulations on who can secure a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the idea behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
