A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent addresses under the very same domain name. For example, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be unbelievably easy if you’ve got a shared package with us. You can activate the feature through our powerful, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is integrated into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer your shared web hosting account. You’ll find all the email addresses that you have set up listed alphabetically and to the right of each one there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly show you if a specific mailbox stores all the email messages pertaining to a certain domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you wish. In case there’s enabled email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you’ll get a warning from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated without any effort if you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a small-size icon conveniently located directly next to each of them. With just a click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature through the contextual menu that will surface. If any of the conditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
