In the new section that will appear in the Control Panel, you can define the path to the .js file in your web hosting account and choose if the file in question will be accessible via the physical server’s shared IP address or via a dedicated one. Our system will also designate a port number for the connection. You will be able to terminate or to restart each instance independently, if it is necessary.

Node.js in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to use Node.js for any real-time script-powered web application running in a semi-dedicated server account, since the platform is included with all our semi-dedicated server plans and you can get it with only several mouse clicks. In case you wish to use it for multiple web sites, you can enable more instances via the Upgrades section of your Hepsia Control Panel. The configuration is as simple as choosing the location of your .js file and choosing whether the Node.js platform should use a dedicated IP or any of the physical server’s shared ones, so you can make the most of Node.js even if you have no previous experience with such a software platform. Our system will also assign a randomly generated port number that will be used to access the .js file associated with the specific application. Node.js in VPS

All Linux VPS packages that are ordered with our tailor-made Hepsia hosting Control Panel include Node.js as standard and you can use this event-driven platform for any script-based app that you host on the VPS. As we haven’t imposed any limitation on how many instances you can set up, you can make the most of the power of our Virtual Private Servers and mix it with the full capacity of Node.js. Node.js is available with all dedicated hosting on which our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is installed. The latter has a rather intuitive and easy-to-use interface, so even if you have not used Node.js before, you can unleash its full potential in just a few simple steps. As soon as you have uploaded the app’s content, you’ll need to indicate the directory path to the specific .js files that will use Node.js and to choose the IP address which they will use (shared or dedicated), whereas our system will specify a randomly generated port number that will be used to access these files. There’s no limitation as to the total number of instances that you can set up and use simultaneously and you will have full control over them from the Hepsia Control Panel – you’ll be able to get new ones or to remove/reboot existing ones, to check the output log for each app, etcetera.
