SSH Telnet in Shared Hosting
If you have a shared hosting account with our company and you would like to handle your content remotely via SSH, you could get SSH access to the account via your Hepsia Control Panel. If your package does not include this feature by default, you can add it with several mouse clicks via the Upgrades menu. In the SSH section of the CP, you'll see the host, the port number and the username you should use when you connect to the account. You may also choose what password you would like to use, since it does not have to be the same as the one for your account. We have prepared a lot of Help articles in which you could find each of the commands you will be able to use with a shared hosting package, as well as examples of how they're used. Furthermore, if SSH access is permitted for your account, you will be able to establish a Secure FTP (SFTP) connection via a standard client such as FileZilla, for example.
SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Hosting
SSH access is offered as standard with some of our semi-dedicated server packages, while with others you can easily include it via the hosting Control Panel if needed - even just for the current month. Either way, you can activate and de-activate the function with just one mouse click through the SSH section of the Control Panel. In the same location, you'll find the server name, the port number and the username required to connect to our platform. You'll also find a box in which you may type in the password which you want to use, because it does not have to be the same as the one you use to log into the CP. For better protection, you could also change it as frequently as you require. The full list of the commands which can be performed within a semi-dedicated account is provided in our Knowledge Base, along with the syntax and a number of instances. An extra function after SSH access is enabled will be the ability to connect to your hosting space via SFTP through any FTP client which supports such connections.
SSH Telnet in VPS
All our virtual private server plans come with SSH access as standard, so you will not need to add any upgrades or enable anything - the instant the server is set up and you receive its login information, you'll be able to connect through its primary IP address and the login credentials which you've picked during the signup procedure. Due to the fact that the VPS accounts come with full root-level access, there aren't any restrictions in terms of the commands which you could run. Your server shall be isolated from the other ones on the physical machine, so you'll be able to manage more or less everything through a command line, including server-side software installations and reboots. That way, you are able to work with your files, databases and any applications that you install in a fast and secure way.
