Ubuntu in VPS
With any of our Linux VPS packages, you're able to select the Ubuntu Operating System on the order page. We are aware of the fact that some programs have specific requirements with regard to the OS they are set up on, so you're able to choose between the 32-bit and the 64-bit release of Ubuntu. In addition, you can choose if the VPS should include our Hepsia Control Panel or with no Control Panel at all. In the first case, you'll receive everything you will need pre-installed - MySQL, email server, FTP, etc. software, and you are able to do everything via your online browser, but the root access is restricted; whereas in the second case, you will receive Ubuntu plus the Apache server software only, which means that you are able to install anything freely because of the full root access which you'll be given, but the server management tasks can be performed using a console. Our system administrators can keep track of your VPS and update the Ubuntu setup weekly when you add the optional Managed Services package that we offer.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Hosting
When the applications that you would like to run require Ubuntu and plenty of resources, you can opt for our dedicated hosting and add this OS to your order with a single click. You will be able to select between the 32-bit and the 64-bit version of your Operating System, depending on which release your apps need to work properly and to get the most of your server hardware. Since you'll have full root access, you will have full control over the software environment on your machine and you can set up anything you'd like. The Ubuntu-powered server doesn't come with a web hosting Control Panel, therefore you can manage your content using a Secure Shell console, however if you would like, you can install a third-party Control Panel and use a graphical interface to manage your sites. In case you don't want to lose time maintaining your hosting server, you can reap the benefits of the Managed Services package, which includes lots of tasks done by our sysadmins on your behalf. The upgrade includes regular updates of your Ubuntu Operating System as well.
